The long term vision for Asha House is to purchase and build a home for the children. Currently the Asha family lives in a rented house but has quickly outgrown the current home and needs more space for children, staff, and storage. The goal is to raise the funds to own our land and building so that the home is protected from fickle land owners, neighbors who want to disrupt the Gospel in the lives of these kids, and corrupt officials who want to profiteer from the children’s home. We will need to purchase a minimum of 5 acres of land. On this land we will have smaller dorm style housing. Each dorm will consist of 10 children and 2 dorm parents. Each home will also have its own garden out back where the children will be taught how to garden. They will learn the responsibility of caring for the plants, have extra food for their work, and help bring more life to the North Indian landscape. There will be a large area for playing cricket, soccer, and other sports. At one end of the complex there will be a school where the children will attend for education. This school will be open to children in the neighborhood who will pay school fees to help generate support for Asha. At the other end, the widows home will be located. This will house around 30 street widows who have either no family to turn to, or they have been rejected and tossed on the street with no one to care for them. There will also be a few guest rooms for visitors, an office, and a parking area.
