Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we come to petition you on behalf of one of our brothers. As many of you remember, Brij Mohan was one of the young men at Asha House. He was full of life and joy until this past summer when the enemy came to steal that away.
This past summer Brij started experiencing mental problems. His family has a history of mental illness. After much prayer, Victor Sir took Brij to Calcutta for treatments. The treatments were very helpful but also very expensive. We could only afford for him to have treatments for one month. After the month was over, we took Brij to live with his grandparents. His grandparents are very old and are not in good health. They are also taking care of one of their sons who also has mental problems. Because of this stressful situation Brij’s grandparents have decided to send Brij away.
Please pray for Victor Sir and me as we decide what to do in a time like this. We know that we cannot have him come back to Asha house until he is more stable. Our desire is for him to get more treatment, but we do not have the funds to do this. We firmly believe that Jesus Christ is the healer and that he can break Brij from this sickness. We are asking that you come alongside us in praying for Brij. Please pray for healing. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). We believe Christ can heal Brij of this and bring freedom back into his life. Please fight for him with us. Please pray against discouragement. We are at a loss and need wisdom and guidance.
God continues to provide our every need here at Asha house. Although Brij is not living at Asha house we feel a strong calling to provide for his treatments, but we do not have the finances to do this. Please pray about this. Please ask your churches and families to pray about this. We are the body of Christ and we need your help. Brij needs your help. He needs treatments for about 6 months. It cost 1,000 dollars per month. The money will cover his medicine, food, lodging, and transportation.
