Manisha has been acceling at a wonderful pace. She was placed in first class because she had never been to school, even though her age should have put her in a higher class. But she has done so well in first class that the school has decided to have her skip her second class and go straight into third. Please pray that she makes this transition smoothly and comfortably. She has been doing so well lately and we continue to expect great things out of her. |

Manisha: Age: 7 years old: Manisha is very new to Asha, but is such a great help to the staff. She enjoys taking care of Tabitha and the younger girls and she always has a smile on her face. Manisha’s father is an evangelist who is working in a tribal area. He makes 350 rupees a month (about seven dollars USD). She was living with her mother in a hostel, but contracted scabies and was not allowed back. Manisha has three sisters and two brothers, all of whom are with her mother. Because Manisha was getting such a poor education, she is being tutored at Asha. Right now she struggles with her studies, but hopefully she will be able to go to school soon.
