Jitender: Age: 16 years old: Jitender wants to pastor the children at Asha House after he graduates from the Gospel for Asia Bible School. He has three years left before graduation. He is very helpful around the house, loves taking care of the smaller children, and loves braiding the hair of his young sisters at the orphanage. Jitender was born into a Hindu family in Bihar, in a tribal village with no modern technology, hospitals, or schools. His mother died when he was young and his father remarried. However, Jitender’s stepmother didn’t want him or his siblings, so he was sent to Emmanual Orphanage at age six. He moved to Asha House a few years ago. Jitender loves to sing, dance, and have fun. All of his holidays are spent at Asha.
